The RPA sleep service is a quaternary service seeing patients from across the state many of whom have significant health care needs. This role is to provide nursing care to patients undergoing sleep studies, including sleep study set-up, overnight monitoring and titration of CPAP/NIV therapy. Training and support is available to staff who are new to Sleep Disorder care. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the provision of patient centred; evidence informed nursing care that promotes identified health outcomes. The Registered Nurse will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary healthcare team. Ideal Candidate Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA). Understanding of evidence informed practice and critical thinking. Effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills within a multidisciplinary team. Critical Care/Respiratory experience (preferred).
