Registered Nurse Training Position - NDIS Community Care About Us We are an expanding healthcare provider specialising in community-based nursing care for NDIS participants. As we grow our nursing services division, we are seeking Registered Nurses who have experience with NDIS Participants and are passionate about providing high-quality care in community settings. Position Overview This training position offers Registered Nurses the opportunity to specialise in NDIS community care while working with a supportive team. The program combines hands-on experience with structured learning to ensure the highest standards of care for our participants. Essential Requirements Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Demonstrated experience working with NDIS participants Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle Current National Police Check Working with Children Check Current First Aid and CPR certification NDIS Screen Worker Check NDIS Worker Orientation Module Current Infection Control Certificate Current Manual Handling Training Program Components Comprehensive orientation to NDIS framework and principles Specialised training in community-based care delivery Person-centered care planning and implementation Documentation and reporting requirements for NDIS Risk assessment and management in community settings Professional boundaries and ethical considerations Report all activities to the RN Supervisor Training Commitments Complete all required assessment tasks and learning activities Attend scheduled training sessions and workshops Participate in regular supervision meetings Maintain a learning portfolio Demonstrate practical application of knowledge and skills Complete case studies and reflective practice exercises Key Responsibilities During Training Develop and implement person-centred care plans Conduct health assessments and monitoring Provide clinical care according to scope of practice Document care delivery and participant outcomes Collaborate with participants, families, and other healthcare providers Apply NDIS quality and safeguarding standards Participate in case conferences and review meetings Skills and Attributes Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to person-centred care Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Dedication to ongoing professional development Cultural sensitivity and awareness What We Offer Structured training program Competitive salary package Professional development opportunities Duration and Structure 2-year training program Structured progression through different competency levels Combination of classroom-based learning and practical experience Regular performance reviews, assessments, and feedback Ongoing support and mentoring throughout the program Quarterly assessments to track progress and development How to Apply Please submit: Current resume Cover letter addressing the essential requirements Two professional references Copies of relevant certifications and registrations Please apply only if you are committed to complete the training for the duration of 2 years.
