Job Description

Registered Nurse/Enrolled Nurse/Assistant in Nursing Central Coast Day Hospital is a state-of-the-art facility that sets an outstanding benchmark as a centre of excellence for ophthalmic surgical procedures. We are looking for enthusiastic Nursing staff for Admissions & Discharges in the day ward, working closely with the Anaesthetic, Scrub/Scout team to ensure a safe patient journey through the Day Surgery Facility. You will be well supported by excellent senior nursing staff who strive to ensure a happy professional culture within the facility. The right candidates will also have the opportunity to learn and multi-skill in other areas of the facility following a suitable orientation period. Key Responsibilities: Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients during the Pre-op admissions period. Strict adherence to Infection Control Policy & Procedures. Mandatory Qualifications/Skills/Experience: Registered/Enrolled Nurse with current Registration AHPRA. AIN Certificate 111 in Acute Care or equivalent. Attentive to detail and adaptable to work independently as well as collaboratively. Ability to establish interpersonal relationships and collaborate with the wider healthcare team to support patient care needs. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication with basic computer literacy. Flexibility to accommodate unanticipated changes in rostering based on facility requirements. Active involvement in Quality Improvement activities. Previous nursing experience in a day hospital environment. This role requires candidates to have full CAT A Vaccination according to NSW Health.
