Registered Psychologist - Short Term Mental Health Interventions Pay: Competitive Location: Perth/Western Australia Employment type: Full-Time Job Description The ORS Psychology team is expanding and we are seeking our next registered Psychologist to join the team! This position is specifically focused on short-term mental health interventions, including Medicare individual therapy under the Better Access Scheme, Employee Assistance Program individual therapy, and similar short-term interventions under various government tenders. You will be joining a national team of 200+ Psychologists working under Commonwealth funded mental health service programs, Employee Assistance Program services, NDIS, and private sector performing clinical services to a variety of clients. While providing psychological practice you will utilise a variety of evidence-based brief intervention strategies and techniques from modalities such as CBT, ACT & DBT, underpinned by our person-centred and trauma-informed approaches to psychological therapy. You will also have direct access to consult at any time and access advice on any complex cases with your dedicated National Manager and Team Leader. The National Manager has over 40 years’ experience in the delivery of Psychology and associated services, and together with the Team Leader and other senior Psychologists, will support and guide you through the delivery of our short-term mental health intervention services. Requirements Tertiary qualifications in Psychology Full Psychology registration with AHPRA A car and licence A National Police Clearance, Working With Children The position is in multiple WA metropolitan area locations (Public Health Network – North and South) servicing low-intensity GP referred patients with mild to moderate mental health presentations in a short-term brief intervention place-based service. Seeking a fully registered Psychologist experienced in delivering short-term brief intervention psychological counselling services. Experience in delivering face-to-face, video, and telephone evidence-based short-term counselling interventions inclusive of associated and relevant Psychological assessments.
