The role The role of the Manager, Regulatory Pricing is to lead the development of the price submission to the Essential Services Commission (ESC), including the expenditure forecasts and financial modelling. The price submission must align with guidance provided by the ESC, and reflect engagement undertaken with our key stakeholders, customers and community. Providing leadership to South East Water (SEW) on economic and regulatory financial modelling matters, your expert advice will be crucial in facilitating the needs and preferences of our key stakeholders, customers and community whilst simultaneously achieving economic and financial sustainability objectives of the business. A large portion of the position will involve extensive collaboration across all parts of SEW and will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure SEW is a respected participant in the Victorian water sector. If you're a numbers person, relish a challenge and communication and relationship building is second nature to you, then this role may be for you! Who are you? Armed with a tertiary qualification in economics, finance/accounting, law or other relevant discipline, the Manager, Regulatory Pricing will possess experience in a regulation-type role, in a regulated sector and understand the role of economic regulation and regulatory finance. Along with this, they will have an understanding of the relationship between an entity and the ESC and various other Government bodies. High level knowledge, skills and experience in the following will no doubt ensure your success in this role: Expert knowledge of key strategic, financial and policy issues facing the water industry and government. Experience in the preparation of high quality, strategic written submissions to the ESC and other Government bodies. High level project management skills and a demonstrated capability to manage price submissions or other major submissions to Government. Highly developed written, verbal and digital communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate, influence and negotiate with key stakeholders and business leaders. Highly skilled in analysis and critical thinking. What's in it for you?
