(subject to review and approval) About the Role: Please note there is only one position available that can either be filled by a Health Professional or Registered Nurse. Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Services (RACS) is a vibrant and diverse Division within Canberra Health Services providing multidisciplinary rehab, aged and community-based care across a range of settings. This includes Canberra Hospital, University of Canberra Hospital (UCH), Community Health Centres and Village Creek Centre in Kambah. University of Canberra Hospital is Canberra’s first purpose-built rehabilitation hospital and supports people recovering from surgery, injury, or experiencing mental illness. The RCC follows patients through their rehabilitation journey from admission to discharge. The RCC is a key point of contact for patients and their families on the wards at UCH. The successful applicant will have the ability to provide a high level of rehabilitation care to patients of varying complexity, coordinate the transition of patients accepted into the Rehabilitation Service and assist in the overall discharge process. You will also have the opportunity to support professional development, support research and safe evidence-based practice through supporting policy change, quality improvement, and new clinical initiatives, and remain current in specialised knowledge, expertise and skills through continued professional development. Minimum Requirements: Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
