Constantinople is the first of its kind: an all-in-one software and operational platform for banks. We provide our banking clients with a cloud-native infrastructure to host and manage their customers. We offer a comprehensive suite of banking products, together with all operational services needed to run a bank efficiently. Constantinople’s state-of-the-art platform eliminates the need for expensive infrastructure, and replaces manual operational and compliance processes with automation at scale. By removing the operational complexity of banking, Constantinople enables its clients to focus on its customers and the business of banking. The Role The IT Service Management Organisation is responsible for managing IT Operations and releases from the Incident and change management process to client reporting on the state of the platform. As we scale from a single banking client to operating multiple banks in parallel, having robust process procedures and tooling allows us to deploy software at pace and scale into complex banking environments. As a Release and Incident manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that every release is assembled and documented correctly, all associated signoffs have been received and that for each Client, the appropriate Feature flags are applied as expected by the configuration and signoff of each of our clients. You will also work with our Vendors to ensure that the changes that they are making do not impact our clients and environments. On the incident side, you will help teams prioritise and triage incidents and make sure that incidents are resolved promptly. You will also be responsible for uplifting Process and tooling as well as documentation. Constantinople has an Audacious goal to modernise banking at scale so safely releasing change into complex environments at pace and scale is key to our goals. What You’ll Do Release Planning: Collaborate with development teams and product managers to plan and schedule software releases, considering dependencies and risks. Coordinate and orchestrate the release process, ensuring that all necessary tasks are completed. Oversee and facilitate the testing of software releases. Manage the deployment of software releases to various environments (e.g., development, staging, production). Communicate release plans, schedules, and potential impacts to internal teams, customers, and vendors. Monitor the performance and stability of the released software. Maintain comprehensive release documentation. Identify opportunities for improving the release process, implementing best practices, and automating tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce risks. Assess and prioritize incoming incidents based on their severity, impact, and urgency, ensuring that critical issues are addressed promptly. Coordinate and lead the incident response process, assembling the necessary teams and resources to investigate, diagnose, and resolve the incident effectively. Facilitate and oversee the root cause analysis process to identify the underlying causes of incidents and implement preventive measures to mitigate future occurrences. Ensure that all incidents are thoroughly documented, including details of the issue, resolution steps, and lessons learned, for future reference and knowledge sharing. Conduct post-incident reviews to analyze the incident response process, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to enhance incident management practices. Who You Are Experience with release management in a complex multi-instance environment (ideally SAAS providers or similar multi-client organisations). Understanding of complex software solutions in regulated industries (we work in banking, but you may have worked in other regulated or high-risk industries). Experience working in Agile software environments and frequent release environments. Experience managing IT incidents. A bias towards action, problem-solving mindset, and willingness to drive solutions to complex challenges. Demonstrated ability to understand technical details and communicate them effectively to diverse stakeholders. Proven track record of driving alignment across multiple teams and external partners. Ability to navigate ambiguity. Knowledge of emerging fintech trends and technologies. Startup experience is valued highly.
