Y Schools Queensland Bundaberg Campus are in search for our next classroom hero as a Relief Teacher on a Casual basis to support in our School based in Bundaberg. About the role As a Relief Teacher here at Y Schools Queensland, you will deliver academic and wellbeing programs to students, support the delivery of vocational training programs and support the Head of Campus in operation of the campus to achieve educational, wellbeing and vocational objectives. What will my time look like? Create and deliver lessons in accordance with the guidelines and parameters provided by the Head of Curriculum’s Wellbeing framework Collaborate constructively and positively with all school staff, across both campuses, in the development and evaluation of curriculum Respond to the needs of students Assess and provide meaningful and supportive feedback and report on student learning Support our incredible young people with a range of learning needs, including disabilities, behavioural disturbances, Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADD/ADHD, low levels of literacy/numeracy, and mental illness Support our young people to know success! Am I a good match? Hold a relevant University degree, current Queensland College of Teachers Registration, First Aid Certificate and CPR Qualifications Apply appropriate knowledge to plan and prepare teaching and learning programs to meet the diverse characteristics, needs and learning styles of students who are at risk of disengaging from education Knowledge to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish an appropriate learning environment in which students are encouraged to work toward their potential. Effectively communicate with students including the use of appropriate interpersonal skills and the ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to the establishment and maintenance of a supportive learning environment.
