The role: We have an exciting opportunity for a Remote Business Development Officer to join our Sales & Marketing team based in our Mulgrave head office, supporting Truck Dealers in regional locations across Australia. This role aims to maximize the potential of our regional dealer network through the development and implementation of a direct sales model, facilitate a sales referral process, and provide monthly performance reporting to the dealer to maximize growth opportunities and customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, your key responsibilities will include: Liaising with and developing the high performance of the regional dealer network to achieve goals and sales targets. Identifying, targeting, and pitching future acquisition opportunities across finance and insurance (e.g., Floor plan, Property, Capital Loans, Bailment). Establishing and developing a direct sales model and targeting regional dealers to gain commitment to support. Implementing and continually improving the direct sales process. Maximizing direct sales finance volume by driving supporting dealers to provide a 100% referral rate. Responsible for dealer systems training (finance, wholesale). Monthly monitoring and reporting of dealer performance. Promoting and supporting marketing initiatives, including remote in-store presence review. Point of sale system administration and testing. General administrative support. Qualifications Who we are looking for: A successful candidate for this role will ideally demonstrate the ability to connect and build strong relationships with both customers and dealers, educating, influencing, and selling our value proposition. Knowledge and experience in growing and sustaining these business relationships in a competitive marketplace is highly regarded. Effective negotiation skills and proven leadership abilities will support your growth in this role and provide the sales experience you seek in an independent role within a strong and successful team.
