The Position The Electrical Engineering (EEI) for Above Group shall contribute and support the Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, and Systems or Low Voltage Engineering efforts for the Firm. The EEI shall be in the process of obtaining a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent, from an ABET accredited institution. This individual shall directly contribute to the Firm and its success through the development of knowledge and technical experience to effectively produce a quality design and ultimate product to the customer. The EEI shall execute design duties as required to ensure quality is always maintained. Key Responsibilities: Ability to combine personal judgment with information to establish and implement design criteria. Review most current applicable building codes where the project is located. Maintain a clear line of communication with current Engineer leads and managers on projects, timelines, and deadlines. Developing expertise in Power, Lighting, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Fire Alarm, Communications, and Electronic Security systems. Proficient knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel. Knowledge in AutoCAD and Revit software program a plus. Developing proficiency of electrical concepts including load demand calculations, one-line distribution development, load flow, short-circuit analysis, and arc flash hazard analysis. Ability to work well in a team environment as well as an individual. Communicates effectively with individuals in the organization. Capable of interpreting information set forth in a Basis of Design or a Facilities Requirements Document, as well as additional information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys, and code research. Ability to apply engineering principles to resolve engineering problems and tasks as assigned. Continuously seeks to improve and is self-teachable. Minimum Requirements Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in electrical engineering or equivalent, at an ABET accredited institution. Excellent Communication skills, both oral and written. This is a remote position or can be a hybrid position for locals who desire to work in an office environment.
