Under routine direction of the Editor, you will create high performing stories, and have the opportunity to share the stories of local people and the community nationally. The Job Create engaging content across multiple platforms for local and national audiences Produce rural reports, news bulletins, interviews, and breaking stories Develop content ideas to maximize audience reach and engagement Support Local Emergency Coverage plan implementation Collaborate to share regional content across ABC platforms Generate stories representing Australia's diverse communities About You You'll have: Journalism degree or equivalent experience Creative content creation and live broadcasting skills Strong editorial judgment and information analysis Deep understanding of local audience interests Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to remote areas About ABC News Quality journalism, powerful investigations, outstanding production, and a collaborative, engaged and supportive workplace that offers opportunities and career development across regional and metropolitan Australia.
