Job Description

We are seeking a Research Centre Coordinator to join the School of Education, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice. The Research Centre Coordinator is a key member of the Centre for Inclusive Education and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Centre including coordination of Centre research training and HDR initiatives, internal and external communications, and reporting. The Centre for Inclusive Education (C4IE) was established in 2020 with the aim of conducting high-quality research to improve the educational experiences and outcomes of all learners, particularly those in priority equity groups. The C4IE brings together a range of highly productive researchers across diverse disciplines that include architecture, psychology and cognitive science, information science, health sciences, law, justice and business—together with a core group of world-leading researchers in education—to build on QUT’s internationally-recognised strengths in inclusive education research, policy development, teacher education and professional learning. What you need to succeed Education and training equivalent to completion of a relevant degree with subsequent relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. Demonstrated capacity to connect and collaborate with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at different organisational levels, including experience supporting researchers and research related activities. Exceptional time management skills with demonstrated ability to problem solve. Proven highly developed written and digital communication skills, including professional correspondence, agendas and minutes, reports, and presentations. High-level administrative skills with a proven ability to effectively plan and prioritise tasks with limited direction. Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of financial and HR administration, high-complexity events management, external engagement and high-level social media skills. Knowledge and understanding of inclusive education or demonstrated ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts related to inclusive education and related frameworks.
