About the Role You would be assisting in the development and commercialization of AusHealth’s scientific and medical research portfolio by obtaining new business and managing ongoing relationships in the existing portfolio. Developing medical research initiatives through to a commercial reality working with Hospitals and Universities. What will my day to day look like? Your responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Identify technologies and projects in CALHN and other South Australian research institutes suitable for commercial development. Undertake market research of current and proposed projects to contribute to commercialization strategies. Develop and implement project development strategies to achieve corporate objectives. Prepare data packages for current and prospective business partners. Act as the liaison between AusHealth and external key decision makers to negotiate contract terms of business. Establish, develop, and maintain relationships with key customers and decision makers through business development and networking activities. Provide clear and timely internal and external communication regarding projects. Write grant applications and seek funding for research. What do I need? To be successful in this role, you will have: Degree qualified in Medical, Science or Legal, or capable of demonstrating equivalent experience. Proven experience in commercial development of research outcomes, particularly in the health and medical sciences fields. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the delivery of presentations and participation at seminars. Demonstrated effective negotiating skills. Aptitude for problem solving and tailoring solutions to suit the circumstances. Strong attention to detail and well-developed analytical skills. Ability to be team-focused and work independently. Results-driven, innovative, and resourceful attitude. Proactive, positive, and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service and a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships. Exceptional organization and time management. Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced role. Ability to problem solve and negotiate. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
