Full-time, fixed-term (until Oct 2026) - with options for part-time job-share Great benefits and work environment Job Reference: 953784 About the Role: The Curtin School of Population Health invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term Research Fellow position until October 2026. We are also open to considering part-time job-share arrangements for suitable candidates.This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the ROC-funded mental health program, which focuses on the evaluation and implementation of universal and transdiagnostic interventions for mental health and well-being. The interventions include the Method of Levels therapy, the Take Control Course, 4Ds for Dealing with Distress, and MYLO (an artificial therapist). The research will be guided by lived experience, perceptual control theory, and experimental research.The successful candidate will be based at Curtin University's Bentley campus in Perth, where they will work with Professor Warren Mansell to identify funding opportunities, including grant calls and industrial partnerships, as well as develop work plans to meet application deadlines.In this role, you will, but are not limited to: Conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis for ongoing research studies. Liaising with co-investigators and research partners. Preparing and revising manuscripts for publication. Producing and maintaining external-facing dissemination of research outputs and translational applications, including websites, press releases, social media and blogs. Working with the Enable Institute to identify and liaise with diverse consumers, services, community members, and people with lived experience of mental health problems to form steering groups for targeted grant applications. Co-designing opportunities and research contributions and eliciting iterative feedback at each stage of project design. Selection Criteria – who we are looking for: A doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline, such as psychology or behavioural science. Evidence of an understanding of the reciprocal links between theory, research and practice within the social or behaviour sciences. Evidence of proficiency and experience with responsibility for data management, and a range of statistical analyses, and qualitative research methods. Evidence of a record of research outputs/creative works in high-quality referred journals/outlets consistent with the discipline. Evidence of quality and impact of research outputs/creative works including journal ranking, citation indices, patents awarded, reputation and standing of publishing house or other outlets, independent review from distinguished scholars or critics, or equivalent esteem measures as appropriate to the discipline. Demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills with a commitment to the development of a collegial and supportive working environment and the ability to interact with students and staff with cross cultural sensitivity. Desirable: An interest in applying research to benefit well-being, mental health or health. Commitment to quality teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Demonstrated ability to supervise HDR students. A history of successful competitive grant applications. Role Requirements: As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
