Applications are invited for a range of positions, from research fellows to established research professors. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals at various career stages—from recent PhD graduates to industry experts—who are passionate about advancing knowledge and creating solutions for tomorrow’s challenges. You will play a lead role in actively contributing to and building a research program, securing external research funding, and driving new research projects and collaborations. You will also co-supervise or supervise post-graduate research projects and lead the preparation of high-quality research outputs including publications and conference presentations. Your expertise will focus on one or more of the following areas: Navigation and Control Systems Signal Processing Ship Building Marine Corrosion Biofouling This position is open to international candidates, and relocation and visa support is available. Our strong collaboration with the defence industry, combined with expertise in key disciplines and unique research facilities, supports world-class research and drives innovation in this critical area. About You You will demonstrate a strong commitment to collaborative, high-impact research, both within the university and through partnerships with national and international industry, government, and other organisations. Depending on your career stage, you will also demonstrate: Completion of a PhD in Maritime Defence or Maritime Engineering. An outstanding research track record in an area aligned to Maritime Defence, including evidence of sustained high-quality publications and winning competitive grants. A track record of co-supervision or supervision of higher degree research students to successful completion.
