About the Organisation This institution is a leader in cutting-edge research, supporting academics and students in achieving world-class outcomes. The Research Office plays a pivotal role in ensuring research excellence, integrity, and compliance, providing essential support in ethics approvals, grant submissions, and policy development. About the Role As a Research Integrity and Ethics Officer, you will assist in ensuring that research undertaken aligns with both internal policies and external regulatory requirements. Reporting to the Manager, Research Ethics & Integrity, you will support research compliance processes, manage ethics-related inquiries, and contribute to the development of governance policies. You will also engage with key stakeholders across faculties, research committees, and regulatory bodies. Key Responsibilities Assist in developing and managing research ethics and integrity frameworks. Provide guidance on compliance and governance to researchers. Conduct initial assessments of integrity complaints and recommend actions. Support the Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) and governance teams. Engage with local and national regulatory networks. Lead policy development in clinical trials, biosafety, and export controls. Experience & Qualifications Degree in research management, law, health sciences, or related field, with experience in ethics, integrity, or compliance. Knowledge of the National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and Australian Code for Responsible Conduct of Research. Experience in research governance, clinical trials, or compliance frameworks. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in case management or grievance resolution. Excellent stakeholder engagement and committee administration experience. An Employee WWCC is essential for this role.
