The newly refurbished, fully serviced hotel boasts 14 conference rooms including a huge outdoor deck overlooking the ocean, Palisade Kitchen and Bar, Le Pantry convenience store, the North Bar, Adrift Pool Club and cabanas, gym, pool & saunas. There is nothing our guests are left wanting for!About the Role: Our Reservations Manager ensures the smooth and efficient operations in the department through prompt, effective and proper reservations service to achieve maximum room revenue in order to meet or exceed revenue targets. Having such an established conference floor, we accommodate a lot of group and corporate bookings – this would account for a lot of that makes up the reservation function. Taking care of a small team of five you will also work closely with the Front Office team, Sales & Marketing team, Revenue team and the Director of Operations in this genuinely awesome tight-knit hotel team. This is a Monday to Friday role with some weekend work during peak times. This role will be offered as a 12-month maternity cover contract. Key Responsibilities: Drive up-selling opportunity and convert bookings into sales with the Reservations team, emphasising value-added benefits Identify trends in the market and apply this knowledge to maximize revenue Maintain comprehensive knowledge on all hotel rooms packages, pricing and promotional offers Assist with forecasting and inventory management including overbooking and inventory balancing Mentor and lead a team of reservation agents to success Fully train colleagues in all aspects of Reservations Operations to sustain a high level of service standards and customer satisfaction About you: Previous hotel experience is required Extensive knowledge of OPERA PMS and Microsoft Excel is essential Prior experience within Accor and with group reservations is preferred Proven yield management skills and experience with third party websites and third-party website managers Experience in handling a high volume of reservations with superb accuracy e.g. phone sales, inquiry handling, turn-around response and follow-through Experience working with a Sales and Marketing team An established understanding of Accor’s loyalty program Proven success in customer experience Genuine career progression opportunities within the Oscars Hotels Group Free car parking in the hotel while on shift A welcoming and supportive team culture Great discounts and hotel benefits within Accor Worldwide and the Oscars Group Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
