About the Opportunity: RAAFA is excited to announce a new opportunity within our Residential Aged Care (RAC) division. We are seeking a Residential Aged Care - Operational Support Lead to support the General Manager Residential Care (GMRC), partner with other key leadership roles and enhance the operational efficiency across our RAC facilities. This pivotal role will help streamline operational processes, ensure regulatory compliance and maintain the highest standards of resident care. The Operational Support Lead will provide direct support to the GMRC while working closely with RAC Managers and RAAFA’s Clinical Governance and Quality team to monitor and address operational issues. As the Operational Support Lead, you will manage three key support service leads and act as a crucial reporting conduit to the GMRC. You will play an integral role in helping RAAFA continue its commitment to delivering outstanding care services while balancing operational, financial, and compliance demands. Key Responsibilities: Assist the GMRC in the day-to-day management of operational activities across the residential aged care facility. Support coordination and implementation of key initiatives and projects to improve operational efficiency. Act as an alternative point of contact between the GMRC and other departments, ensuring timely completion of tasks. Manage and track resources including human resources, supplies and equipment. Collaborate with the Quality & Clinical Governance Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards, including the Aged Care Act and Strengthened Standards. Support audits, inspections and review preparations, ensuring compliance documentation is current. Assist with budgeting and financial management, including monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities. Support GMRC in operational decisions, ensuring alignment with budget and high standards of care. Serve as liaison between residents, families, and the GMRC, ensuring concerns are addressed promptly and effectively. Assist in developing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives and prepare regular operational performance reports for the GMRC. Why Join Us? Essential Qualifications and Experience: Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (preferred) or equivalent experience in operational management, with a strong background in residential aged care settings. Proven experience in an operational leadership role, ideally within the aged care sector (desirable). Solid understanding of regulatory requirements, compliance, and operational best practices in the aged care industry. Demonstrated experience in driving efficiencies, managing multiple teams, and overseeing support services. Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams. A commitment to the highest standards of care and service delivery. A passion for supporting staff and creating positive working environments. Current National Police Clearance and valid WA driver’s license.
