The Dining Room by James Viles (One Hat) is a signature restaurant of Park Hyatt Sydney and is looking for a Restaurant Manager or Assistant Manager who is focused on exceptional guest experience and is ready to bring their management skills and engaging personality to our signature restaurant. About the Role Ensure that The Dining Room operates successfully and in accordance with brand standards. Work closely with other Outlet Managers in a supportive and flexible manner, focusing on the overall success of the hotel and the satisfaction of guests. Maintain positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. Handle guest inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner and report guest complaints or problems to supervisors if there is no immediate solution, ensuring follow-up with guests. Have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned place of work to the set standards. Lead the team to high service and quality standards and supervise the standard of service provided by staff. Assist with the recruitment of colleagues and provide onboarding training. Maximize the effectiveness of employees by developing their skills and abilities through appropriate training, coaching, and/or mentoring. Salary Range: $75K ~ $85K Qualifications To be considered for this role, the candidate should possess the following: Current NSW RSA Competency Card. Sufficient experience in a fine dining restaurant or similar environment; experience in a Hatted restaurant is desirable. Strong food and beverage service skills. Strong knowledge of wines and other beverages; excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with wine styles, grape varieties, and other beverage items.
