About the role We are looking for an experienced and motivated Restaurant Sous Chef to join our growing team at The Rocks. We have recently renovated our kitchen – so it is an exciting time to join our team! As Restaurant Sous Chef you will work collaboratively with the Head Chef to produce diversified menus in accordance with The Rocks and Events vision! Establish the working schedule and organise the work in the kitchen so that everything works efficiently and professionally Must show initiative and passion and have great attention to detail Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and expected standards Be a team player and maintain order and discipline in the kitchen Train the kitchen team in order to provide best results in minimum time Previous Experience required: Demonstrated experience as a Chef with proven leadership of a kitchen team Adequate professional experience in a good quality restaurant Excellent communication skills written and verbal Ability to multi task and work under pressure Ability to generate ideas for business improvement Well-presented professional image by being well-groomed and providing a strong representation of Coral Sea Marina Resort Positive, proactive and enthusiastic Benefits This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing passionate team at one of the most iconic oceanfront venues in Airlie Beach and to be part of our journey.
