Restaurant and Bar Manager – Pullman Brisbane Airport Apron Restaurant & Bar at the Pullman Hotel Brisbane Airport is seeking a confident people person to be our new Restaurant & Bar Manager! You will be able to think on your feet and make decisions on the spot, as no two days are ever the same! Apron Restaurant offers guests a perfectly balanced à la carte menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner with a focus on bespoke produce sourced from the ‘apron’ directly around the property. ABOUT THE ROLE You are an experienced Restaurant & Bar Manager or ready to take the next step in your career . You come from a strong hospitality background with knowledge of bars, food & wine. Your passion for providing a great product is always seen in your work. In this role, you will be required to oversee all aspects of restaurant operations including bar & room service. As a “hands-on” manager, you will be required to maintain a constant, visible physical presence during opening hours, leading the team and driving success in the business. You will oversee the effectiveness of guest service, employee performance, and financial results. We are looking for a charming leader who can motivate and encourage the team to deliver an exceptional and personalised service to our guests. Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (but not limited to): Impeccable standards and a commitment to guest service. You will build a guest culture to continuously deliver a thrilling experience. Maintain constant presence on the floor, recognising our guests. Managing day-to-day operations, meeting the quality, standards, and expectations of the guests on a daily basis. Review and analyse the daily operational needs maintaining beverage, labour, product and expenses on budget. You will lead and motivate the team to continuously deliver an inspiring experience in line with our service culture. Attract and develop talent and own the performance of your team. Handling complaints, settling disputes, resolving grievances and conflicts. Ensure clear communication within your department and with all other departments to create effective working practices. Handling guest requests & complaints with confidence and in a professional manner. About you Have an absolute can-do attitude. Hospitality management experience. Strong beverage knowledge including wines and cocktails. Confidence to lead a diverse team. Proactive, problem-solving and attention to detail skills highly regarded. Flexible to work a variety of shifts as the business requires; including weekends and public holidays. Well-groomed and professional in appearance.
