About the Role Reporting to the Product Manager , you will be responsible for creating and maintaining reports and data models that provide valuable insights into customer behaviour, market trends, and business performance. Your work will help drive efficiency, improve customer engagement, and ensure regulatory compliance within Solstice Energy Retail. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for using data to solve complex problems. Your key responsibilities in this role will include: Analyse retail energy customer data, identify trends, and contribute to the development and monitoring of Solstice Energy Retail’s annual budget. Extract insights from our billing system to support marketing strategies and customer engagement initiatives. Work with the Solstice Energy Group data team to ensure data governance aligns with company policies and industry regulations. Develop and refine reports that track customer movements, market trends, risks, and opportunities in the retail energy sector. Collaborate with internal teams to manage and refine electricity and gas retail compliance reporting. Evaluate business opportunities through data-driven research, scenario testing, and competitor positioning analysis. Work with finance, retail operations, and senior leadership to ensure data accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory requirements. What You’ll Bring To The Role The key to your success in the role will be the skills, experience and attributes you can bring to the role and Solstice Energy – in this role, you will need to possess: Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from data. Experience working with energy products is highly desirable. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SQL, and Visio. Experience using Microsoft Power BI and/or other data visualization tools. Familiarity with Python for data analysis is a plus. Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail. Ability to translate customer insights into business decisions. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to different audiences. Strong team player who can collaborate across different business functions. Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Accounting, Economics, Data Science, or a related field.
