Position: Retail Manager (General) ANZSCO 142111 Location: Osborne Park, Western Australia Employment Type: Full-Time; Permanent Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually + Super. As we continue to grow and expand, we’re looking for a passionate and skilled Retail Manager to join our team and help lead our bicycle shops to continued success. Overview: As a Retail Manager at Next Bike Australia, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our bicycle shop. Your role will include managing inventory, setting product pricing, leading the team, and ensuring that every customer receives expert advice and outstanding service. Key Responsibilities: Product Management: Curate a high-quality selection of bicycles, accessories, and related gear, ensuring that stock levels are optimal and aligned with customer needs and seasonal demand. Keep up with industry trends and the latest product innovations to offer customers the best options available. Purchasing & Pricing: Develop and implement purchasing strategies, working with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and competitive pricing. Set retail pricing that balances profitability with customer satisfaction, while keeping a pulse on competitor pricing and market trends. Marketing & Promotions: Lead the creation and execution of marketing campaigns and in-store promotions, utilizing social media, events, and local partnerships to drive foot traffic and increase sales. Manage product displays and organize events such as bike demos, workshops, and sales events to engage with the community. Customer Service Excellence: Offer expert advice to customers, helping them select the right bicycles, gear, and accessories based on their needs, skill levels, and riding goals. Ensure that each customer has an outstanding experience, leaving the store with the right products and a strong connection to the brand. Inventory & Financial Oversight: Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales, and financial transactions. Regularly review inventory to identify slow-moving products and optimize stock turnover. Develop and manage the store's budget to ensure cost efficiency and profitability. Team Leadership & Training: Recruit, train, and manage a team of knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, ensuring team members stay motivated and up-to-date with product knowledge and sales techniques. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure that the store complies with all health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment for both staff and customers. This includes proper handling of bicycle repairs and maintenance equipment, as well as managing safety protocols for test rides and events. Qualifications: Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the cycling or sporting goods industry. A passion for cycling and strong knowledge of bicycles, accessories, and gear. Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills. Strong organizational and financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and inventory management. Ability to analyse sales trends and make data-driven decisions. Experience with marketing and promotions, both in-store and online. Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to retail operations and cycling activities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
