Job Description We have a newly created opportunity available in our Retirement and Wealth business as a Retirement Growth Manager. Reporting to the General Manager, Retirement and Wealth, you will be responsible for developing deep relationships with new and existing partners to TAL as well as consultants and other market participants. This is a client-facing role with key stakeholder management and relationship-building accountabilities. You will play a critical role in proactively and effectively managing the delivery of high-quality engagement to our prospects and other market players. In this role you will: Deeply understand TAL’s strategy and retirement proposition in the industry Tailor and showcase TAL capabilities, proposition, and people to audiences/funds depending on their needs and objectives Proactively identify and build relationships with new retirement and investment opportunities in the industry fund and retail/platforms segments Gather and document market intel on an ongoing basis and provide reporting on this and pipeline activity Devise the retirement partnerships strategy for approval by the senior leadership team Document and execute a structured 12-month calendar of business development activity to be updated on an ongoing basis Understand market challenges and represent TAL as a market leader in thought leadership and solution development Support the ongoing development and implementation of initiatives and projects to enhance service delivery for our partners Lead new business tender responses, using the intel obtained through engagement to develop the win themes and ensure a leading submission is provided Take full accountability for delivery of the tender response on time, building a bid team across the TAL business Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification Comprehensive knowledge of superannuation and retirement solutions and how they interact in the market Key understanding of current and proposed regulations impacting superannuation and life insurance industry Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills Proven ability to develop relationships, negotiate, and obtain key information to support a tender process Ability to support the project management of institutional tender responses Strong commercial acumen and the ability to think strategically Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills You’re always accountable for your actions.
