Job Description - Risk Advisor Technology (240001MZ) Job Number: Risk Advisor Technology (240001MZ) About the role We are looking for a Risk Advisor to support the identification, treatment, and management of technology risks while enhancing information and data security at RACQ. This role will champion effective risk management practices across the organisation, driving improvements in technology and data risk management, and fostering a strong risk-aware culture. Lead Technical Risk Assessments, including documenting treatments, tracking completion, and providing advisory support on information security and risk management. Provide advisory support and guidance on the design, implementation, and optimisation of physical, procedural, and technical security controls, aligning with organisational priorities. Monitor external penetration testing outcomes, ensuring timely remediation of any identified issues. Provide management reporting on information security and risk, escalating key risks and issues as necessary to senior stakeholders. Foster a culture of positive risk management behaviours and support the implementation of best practice assurance methodologies across the team. About you You will be a detail-oriented professional with an inquisitive nature, focused on identifying and managing technology and data risks. With excellent interpersonal skills, you'll build strong relationships across the organisation, ensuring alignment and driving effective collaboration in risk management. Proven expertise in managing Technology and Information Security Risks, including performing risk assessments and addressing regulatory requirements such as APRA CPS234 and PCI-DSS. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with technical teams, end-users, and management, translating complex technical concepts into clear, concise language to ensure alignment and understanding across all levels. Ability to coach and train Technology staff to support uplifted risk maturity. Experience in technical report writing and delivering recommendations based on risk assessments and findings. Demonstrated ability to identify, profile, and manage risks through formal risk management methods and frameworks, such as ISO/IEC 27001. Why join RACQ?
