About the role The role of the Risk and Regulation Manager works in consultation with the Head of Risk and Regulation to engage with key stakeholders on monitoring, reporting, communicating, and responding to regulatory changes and risk management. The role will lead the interpretation of legislative reforms and support key stakeholders to implement changes into practice. The role will also support organisational document control and governance by monitoring the policy documentation management systems for HammondCare. This role will also coordinate HammondCare’s reporting requirements including but not limited to Modern Slavery, GPMS, QSCC, CGC and QCabs, plus other sub committees and forums as necessary. Success in the role will be determined by building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, staying abreast of the changing industry regulatory environment and ensuring effective policy and document management systems across HammondCare. Key Focus areas of the role include: Monitor and interpret legislative changes, coordinating and supporting key stakeholders to respond to and implement changes into practice. Drive reforms with key stakeholders to ensure compliance with changing legislation, ensuring a risk and compliance lens is applied. Support effective ongoing policy and document management systems, governance and processes across HammondCare. Ensure HammondCare’s reporting requirements for all internal and external obligations are met and key stakeholders supported to meet their obligations. Lead project-based work for the Risk and Regulation Team (e.g. systems implementation, improvement opportunities). This role is based at St Leonards and has working from home options. Key Responsibilities include: Lead and coordinate the implementation of the Quality Management Systems within the organisation to help ensure compliance with the Strengthening Standards, the Aged Care Quality Standards, and relevant legislative requirements. Lead and coordinate compliance with all health, aged care and other relevant legislative changes and amendments. Demonstrate knowledge and commitment towards quality improvement activities and actively participate in accreditation processes. Act as Senior Manager to lead and contribute to the HC leadership team to meet annual Statement of Priorities and organisational goals. Oversee the support of key stakeholders to form action plans where required to implement regulatory changes into practice. Working with the Head of Risk and Regulation, engage with and provide advice to key stakeholders to ensure policies and practices are updated when there are changes in legislation. Monitor effective ongoing organisational document control and governance through SharePoint Document Central. Engage with key stakeholders to support collaboration and communication across portfolios about key document review. Coordinate HammondCare’s annual report for Modern Slavery and support key stakeholders to meet their obligations or commitments during the reporting period (FY). Prepare written reports summarising quality improvements, incident management, audit results and feedback for the Board, HammondCare Leadership Team, Staff, Clinical Governance Committee, QCAB and Quality Safety and Care Committee and relevant departmental meetings. Provide support to the Head of Risk and Regulation with managing the enterprise-wide risk management program, including Board and subcommittee reporting. Provide support and input to continuous improvement of Crisis management and Business Continuity management support. Act as the delegate for the Head of Risk and Regulation. About You At least 5 years demonstrated experience working in a fast paced role where you have supported the management of risk and compliance activities. Demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and effectively work with people of many different personality styles. Strong administrative and computer skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Communicate in a concise, clear and accessible form, as appropriate to the intended audience. Demonstrate excellent verbal communication skills and information gathering skills for the preparation and communication of written documents and presentations. Access, synthesise and analyse new and existing information. Experience supporting executive teams in reporting, stakeholder management and strategic priorities. Sound knowledge of current Quality Improvement process/systems, the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and the National Aged Care Quality Standards.
