Risk and Safety Lead Greensborough, Australia Reference: 6725420 Permanent full time position Competitive salary package of between $137,806.22 and $153,973.96 total remuneration per annum that includes 11.5% super and annual leave loading. Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a community-focused organisation? This is your opportunity to step into a pivotal role at Council as our Risk and Safety Lead . What a typical day will look like; Embedding risk management and occupational health and safety practices throughout the organisation. Offering expert guidance on risk and safety matters to all directorates and the Executive Leadership Team. Directly manage Council's risk management and insurance programs. Provide strategic oversight of OHS initiatives, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements and industry standards. Leading the development and testing of business continuity plans. Cultivating strong relationships across teams and offering expert advice to stakeholders at all levels. Collaborating across our diverse organisation to achieve best practice safety standards for both staff and the community. What you will bring to the role; Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical and legislative information to non-technical audiences, working at various levels across the organisation. Strong ability to influence, negotiate and bring people along the journey - particularly as it relates to change, continuous improvement and risk mitigation. Excellent written and communication skills. Ability to lead, motivate and develop others, providing guidance, support and mentorship. Political and business acumen. Why should you join us?
