Position DescriptionYou will serve as a Safety and Occupational Health Specialist/Radiation Safety Officer in the Compliance and Quality Department, Safety and Occupational Health Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTH.Position Duties/Responsibilities You will plan, develop, organize, implement and monitor the effectiveness of the organization's Safety Program IAW Navy Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements and all other regulatory compliances. You will develop, revise and prepare safety and occupational health instructions, rules and regulations, policies, procedures and training. You will develop goals and objectives and plan strategies to accomplish them. You will assure aircraft weapon systems productions, quality and manufacturing safety concerns are properly addressed. You will recommend the application of specific techniques, methods and procedures to eliminate or control unsafe acts or conditions. You will coordinate safety-related and hazard abatement actions between depot leadership and artisans, competencies and NAVAIR Program Manager Offices for the implementation of safety within individual system life-cycle.
