Company Description At Yummy Bears Kiosk, our goal is to establish healthy and sustainable food services in all of our school canteens. We prepare fresh and nutritious food daily on site, using high-quality ingredients. Our aim is to provide cost-effective and healthy eating options that meet the specific needs of our customers while adhering to the NSW Healthy School Canteen strategy. About the Role Our organisation is currently seeking a devoted and experienced Canteen Manager and Assistant to join our growing team in Merrylands on a Permanent Part-time basis . The role involves implementing strategic business practices and policies to ensure the success of our canteens. Our operations run for 40 weeks per year , following the school calendar, and employee salaries are in line with the fast food industry award hourly rates. Key Responsibilities include: Organising and monitoring the day‐to‐day operations of the canteen. Using the Flexischools online ordering system to download the orders. Assisting in daily food preparation e.g. cooking, baking, salad making. Assisting in over-the-counter service during breakfast, recess and lunch. Providing a high standard of customer service by assisting students, teachers and other customers in food selection. Stock control. Daily cleaning and stocking of the canteen. Contributing to keeping the overall site safe, clean and presentable to customers. Other duties as required. Being reliable, punctual and honest. Successful Candidates will Essentially Demonstrate: Previous experience working in school canteens is essential. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a busy, fast-paced environment. Demonstrates understanding of healthy eating and ability to prepare, cook and promote healthy foods. Employees are required to hold a valid Working with Children Check. Food handlers Certificate is a must. Food Safety Supervisor is required for the Managerial role. Job Types: Part-time, Permanent Pay: $25.65 – $27.58 per hour Expected hours: No less than 20 per week Schedule: Fixed shift Experience: Canteen: 2 years (Preferred) Licence/Certification: Working with Children Check (Preferred) Work Location: In person Expected Start Date: 31/01/2025 #J-18808-Ljbffr
