SENIOR PRACTITIONER / SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER / SENIOR CASE MANAGER Reference 5A2B3EDE External Vacancy – Open to Everyone Division: Department for Child Protection Location: Riverland Office Salary Range: $88,255-$102,240 Classification: AHP2 Engagement Type: Multiple Closing Date: 11 Feb 2025 11:00 PM Role Highlights Multiple full-time vacancies, one ongoing role and two term roles AHP2 ($88,255 - $102,240 p.a.) / PO2 ($88,255 - $97,667 p.a.) + 11.5% Superannuation Salary packaging available + EAP support for you and your family The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Senior Practitioner and two Senior Social Workers or Senior Case Managers to join the Riverland office on a full-time basis. These roles are responsible for: Enhancing Social Worker/ Case Management capacity and principles of social work practice by providing advice to DCP staff, mentoring and researching new techniques and methodologies. Undertaking regular reviews of cases to ensure that effective plans are in place and appropriate case management is occurring. Conducting the most complex investigations and assessments in a child-centred manner, focused on the safety of the child and on the support of the parent/family to effectively and safely care for their child. Assisting families by working in partnership with them to support the safe return of their children to their care and to work directly with children in care to assure their development, stability and security at all times. About You We are looking for a confident individual with the ability to analyse complex problems and resolve matters that demonstrate reflective practice. To be successful you will be able to understand factors that contribute to child abuse within the context of child development, parenting, family and environmental factors and confidently apply this understanding to your work and the decisions you make. You will also have the ability to apply culturally sensitive child protection practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and communities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Special Conditions Essential Qualifications: AHP: A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.PO: Appropriate degree qualification in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or related field. Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
