Their Sunshine Coast office located in a beautiful coastal area with stunning beaches currently consists of a close-knit team of four, including a Director and Senior Accountant is growing. THE OPPORTUNITY Due to expansion there is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accountant to join Sunshine Coast office. You will work closely with a small, dedicated team, including the Director and other Senior Accountants. In this role, you will take ownership of your own client portfolio, working with a diverse range of businesses whilst supervising junior staff. As part of a leadership team, you will contribute to the firm's success, advancing your career in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Support a diverse portfolio of SME business clients across various industries Compile and finalise financial statements in accordance with compliance standards Prepare income tax returns, activity statements and other required tax filings Generate insightful management reports to assist clients in making informed business decisions Work closely with the Director to deliver high-quality financial and advisory services Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering their professional development Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and proactive service EXPERIENCE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Degree in Commerce or Business, with a focus on accounting 5+ years of experience in an Australian public accounting practice Progress towards or completion of CPA or CA qualifications Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations Commitment to continuous professional growth and refining accounting skill Enthusiasm for working with technology and leveraging it to enhance efficiency Xero certification, including payroll functionality Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel Excellent client relationship management skills, with strong written and verbal communication abilities THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE Direct collaboration with the Director providing valuable mentorship and career guidance Clear opportunities for career progression with ongoing support for professional development Exposure to a well-established brand and a diverse, high-profile client base across various industries Competitive salary and benefits package, along with flexible work arrangements to promote work-life balance Access to a global network, with continuous training and resources to advance your expertise The opportunity to develop the skills needed to manage and oversee your own client portfolio in a senior tax role HOW TO APPLY Submit your résumé and application letter now by clicking the 'Apply To This Job ' button.
