About the Role We are seeking an experienced and visionary National Manager to lead AUSTRAC’s Digital Transformation Branch. Reporting to the General Manager, Transformation, you will drive the development and execution of AUSTRAC’s digital strategy, oversee large-scale transformation projects, and foster a culture of innovation within the organisation. You will work closely with AUSTRAC’s Executive Leadership Group, key internal stakeholders, and external partners to deliver future-focused digital solutions that align with AUSTRAC’s strategic priorities.As part of the Executive Leadership Group, you will contribute to shaping AUSTRAC’s broader strategic direction and governance, ensuring the agency remains at the forefront of digital innovation in the regulatory landscape.Who We Are Looking For We are looking for a strategic and results-driven leader with a proven track record in digital transformation and managing large-scale digital programs. The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering complex digital transformation initiatives at a senior level. Expertise in managing large-scale programs, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget. Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience working with senior executives, government officials, and external partners. A deep understanding of emerging digital technologies and their application to enhance organisational outcomes. Duties and Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of AUSTRAC’s digital strategy, ensuring alignment with long-term goals and organisational priorities. Provide high-level advice to the Executive Leadership Group on emerging digital opportunities and challenges. Oversee large-scale digital transformation projects, ensuring they meet scope, timeline, and budget requirements. Foster cross-functional collaboration to implement integrated, user-centric digital solutions. Establish governance frameworks to manage fiscal accountability, compliance, and digital risks. Drive a culture of innovation by leveraging emerging technologies and advanced analytics to enhance AUSTRAC’s regulatory and intelligence capabilities. Oversee a multidisciplinary team, ensuring digital literacy and capability are embedded across the organisation through training and development initiatives. Define and monitor success metrics to track the impact of digital initiatives, ensuring continuous improvement. Engage with external stakeholders, including government agencies and international partners, to co-design solutions that address evolving needs.
