Lead Cyber Security Infrastructure & SIEM Operations Ensure Compliance & Security Standards Collaborate & Strengthen Security Architecture Quigly are a boutique consultancy with a great network of clients across many industries. Currently we are looking for a SIEM Engineer for our federal government client to join the security team. This is an initial 9 month contract with likely extension. This role requires full-time onsite work in Canberra (remote applicants will NOT be considered). Candidates must hold an active NV1 or higher security clearance (applications without this will NOT be considered). About the Role As a SIEM Engineer, you will implement, manage, and retire key cyber security infrastructure, ensuring a secure and robust digital environment. You will play a lead role in cyber security architecture, collaborating closely with internal ICT teams to strengthen the organisation’s security posture. Key Responsibilities Maintain and optimise cyber security monitoring and analysis toolsets Lead SIEM implementation, management, and enhancements Secure digital services across physical, virtual, networking, and cloud environments Align security measures with Australian Government ISM standards Provide expert technical guidance on security technologies, including firewalls, endpoint protection, and IDS/IPS Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a secure-by-design approach Essential Technical Skills & Experience Proven experience using Microsoft Sentinel or equivalent SIEM solutions Strong knowledge of Australian Government ISM and cyber security frameworks Hands-on expertise in Windows, Linux, networking, and system administration Experience with security technologies (e.g., firewalls, endpoint protection, IDS/IPS) Proficiency in cloud security (Azure or AWS) Please note you must be an Australian Citizen based in Australia to apply for this role.
