Principal Consultant - Public Practice Accounting About the Organisation: Work for a strong, young and vibrant mid-tier accounting firm that is passionate about growth and success for both their clients and their staff! They currently have 3 offices in Cleveland, Coorparoo and Hamilton which are run by a strong management team of 14. Their main office location in Cleveland is seeking an experienced SMSF Accountant to support the Director and Senior Associate with a portfolio of 290 funds. These two individuals are exceptionally friendly, approachable, supportive and love having fun! About the Role As an SMSF Accountant, your responsibilities will include: Preparation of yearly SMSF tax returns and financial statements Assisting in setups of SMSF's and advising on the appropriate structure Maintaining accurate and detailed records of all SMSF transactions, ensuring all documentation is ready for audits and compliance checks Working on SMSF's with complex investments (e.g., related unit trusts, multiple properties, unlisted investments/loans) Reviewing smaller jobs for junior accountants Skills and Experience: 3+ years' experience as an SMSF Accountant in an Australian public practice accounting firm BGL 360 experience preferred (but not required!) Ability to liaise with clients directly (such as sending review points, requesting work etc.) Transfer Balance Accountant reporting (TBA) experience is a bonus!
