Two full-time term vacancies, one until 11 July 2025 and one until 16 May 2025 AHP1/PO1 ($68,478 - $83,594 p.a.) + 11.5% Superannuation Salary packaging available + EAP support for you and your family The Department for Child Protection is seeking two Social Workers or Case Managers to join the Limestone Coast office on a full-time term basis. The roles are responsible for: Providing effective case management services to respond to the needs of children and their families aligned to appropriate statutory guidelines. Delivering a range of intervention strategies to safeguard children and promote positive outcomes. Assisting children in out of home care to reconnect with their birth families, strengthen relationships and achieve and maintain reunification. Undertaking regular visits and supporting parents in developing appropriate parenting skills. About You We are looking for a motivated, organised individual who has the ability to understand factors that contribute to child abuse and confidently can apply this understanding to your work and the decisions you make. This will allow you to identify and respond to the needs and risks to safety, wellbeing and development of children and young people. You will have a demonstrated ability to apply culturally sensitive child protection practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, and communities from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. Special Conditions Essential: AHP : A degree level qualification in Social Work which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.PO : Appropriate degree qualification in Community Services, Social Sciences, Human Services, Health or related field. Persons of Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, who have the appropriate background and skills but do not have the essential qualification, may apply for and be engaged/assigned to the role of Social Worker and will be entitled to apply for any Allied Health Professional roles requiring a qualification in Social Work within the Department for Child Protection (DCP).
