SPECIALTY CARE RN - EMERGENCY ROOM - FT NIGHTS Job Location: Maryville, IL Position Type: Full Time (72 Hours) Salary Range: $35.26 - $57.78 Hourly Job Shift: Nights Description Job Summary: Provides direct patient care, effectively utilizing the nursing process to ensure optimal nursing care and patient outcomes. Works in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team led by the Emergency Department Physician to meet the individualized need of the patient and family. Practices within the parameters of the Illinois Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act and Anderson Hospital policies and procedures. Job Responsibilities: Effectively utilizes the nursing process to ensure optimal nursing care and patient outcomes. Provides age-appropriate and population-specific patient care in a safe, skillful, accurate, and efficient manner. Completes focused and ongoing assessments and documentation. Assesses patient and family learning needs and provides ongoing education and evaluation. Completes documentation accurately and in a timely manner. Engages in activities to expand and enhance the professional nursing role. Maintains calm manner during abrupt changes in acuity and/or unit activity. Recognizes own limitations and seeks assistance when necessary. Delegates responsibilities to appropriate health care team members and monitors their activity. Provides patients with appropriate instructions for discharge care. Participates in call backs. Qualifications Education Requirements: Graduate of accredited nursing program. Certification/Licensure: Illinois licensed or eligible, CPR required, ACLS, TNCC, PALS or ENPC, ECRN preferred. Experience Requirements: Prior Emergency Department experience or other critical care environment preferred. Working Conditions: Exposure Category I: Tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues. Use of appropriate protective measures is required for every employee engaged in Category I tasks. #J-18808-Ljbffr
