About The Role The Safety Specialist contributes to the success of Liberty Primary Steel (LPS) through the advice, support, and mentoring on the full range of operational and strategic safety issues to the operational workforce inclusive of contracting groups. The Safety Specialist supports a safety maturity and improvement culture and demonstrates behaviours consistent with Company values. Key Responsibilities Drive operational excellence in safety management practices through proactive engagement, guidance, and support. Build capability amongst leaders and teams to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with legislative obligations and requirements of the LPS Safety Management System. Identify and recommend best practice initiatives to reduce risk, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices. Implement and monitor compliance with safe systems of work. #J-18808-Ljbffr
