Job Title : Area Sales Manager - Hunter (NSW) About the Company Multotec Australia is part of a global group of companies that designs, manufactures and services mineral processing and beneficiation equipment for the Australian minerals, aggregate and mining market. Job Summary : Multotec has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Sales Hunter, to join the team in the position of Area Sales Manager - based in Rutherford, Newcastle. The emphasis will be on proactively prospecting for new business, as the successful applicant must grow the market share in this region across all product groups. The successful candidate will work closely with the East Coast Sales Team, Product Managers, and Management to evaluate business opportunities and implement effective sales strategies. Responsibilities : Be the single point of accountability for Multotec customers in the region. Develop and implement a successful sales growth strategy and plan to extract maximum value for our customers within the Hunter region. Identify new business opportunities in adjacent industries alongside existing Base Metals clients. Meet and grow financial outcomes for the sales territory including volume, gross margin, and turnover. Proactively manage overdue debt and related risk exposures. Regularly travel within the region to visit all levels of the sales cycle. Establish a reputation within the regional customer sites as a valued advisor. Understand Multotec's product range thoroughly to open new revenue-generating opportunities. Work with Management to implement strategic marketing campaigns. Build and implement targeted marketing and advertising campaigns for business development. Engage and collaborate with internal partners to ensure alignment with strategy and business opportunities. Collaborate with Development and Production teams to match customer requirements with viable solutions. Consult with technical support teams to develop solutions and resolve product-related inquiries. Coordinate site inspections and field service activities while effectively communicating findings. Finalize technical proposal documents in coordination with Product Managers & Commercial / Sales management. Utilize Multotec's IT support tools including JD Edwards (ERP), CRM systems, and MS suite applications. Ensure compliance with all site accreditations, health, safety policies, & time management guidelines. Work within processes & procedures for continuous improvement. Skills Required : Demonstrated experience or willingness to sell ongoing service, products, and solutions into the mining industry. Strong commercial competence and results driven experience in account management. Proven history in developing and implementing successful sales strategies. Keen eye for opportunities and innovative strategies to expand client reach. Excellent communication, presentation, and people skills. A strong service-orientation with high-level self-initiative. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, strategic and analytical skills. RESILIENT & Enthusiastic for what you do. Previous experience with Schenck-Screenex / Elastomers / Weir / Johnson / Ludowici / FLSmidth / Metso beneficial. Fabulous sense of humour & great attitude - A MUST! Qualifications : Relevant tertiary qualifications (Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Commerce, Sales, Marketing, Engineering) and / or a similar B2B Sales / Key Account position. Minimum 5 years of experience, ideally with involvement in the mining industry. Proven background in new business development / increasing Share of Wallet with Key Accounts at a regional level.
