Are you passionate about live theatre, education, and making a positive impact in schools across Australia? Alpha Shows, a leading provider of high-quality theatrical productions for schools, is looking for a dedicated Sales & Booking Coordinator to join our team! About the Role: As the Sales & Booking Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for reaching out to schools and booking our exciting, curriculum-based musical theatre shows. This is a part-time, primarily remote position (with the opportunity to also come into our office/theatre space in Altona North and/or go on tour!), with flexible hours , ideal for someone who enjoys working independently and making a tangible impact. Your Key Responsibilities Include: Identifying and reaching out to potential leads within the school system, as well as identifying new opportunities outside the education sector (e.g., theatres, festivals, anywhere where quality children's entertainment is required) Coordinating bookings for our shows across Australia (especially in Melbourne and nearby areas) and ensuring all existing clients have the opportunity to rebook for the following year Building and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers in schools and updating our CRM with relevant details Collaborating with our team to ensure a seamless booking process and exceptional experience for our clients Immersing yourself in the world of Alpha Shows, attending rehearsals and liaising with the management team What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in direct sales and networking, preferably within the education sector, is essential. You must have a strong track record of driving sales and increasing bookings, as this is the core responsibility of the role. Background in arts, education, or entertainment Strong communication and negotiation skills A network of existing contacts within schools or the education sector, or an insatiable drive to create those connections using our existing database/CRM Proactive, self-motivated, highly energetic and organized What Would Be Nice to Have: Experience in theatre and/or events Familiarity with liaising and working with schools, including understanding school culture and navigating the politics and typical challenges when marketing to educational institutions Backstage/technical theatre or IT experience, which could allow for growth into tour logistics responsibilities Any background in customer service and/or HR management, opening the possibility for role expansion into operations and HR Why Join Us: Opportunity to make a real difference in schools, bringing theatrical productions that promote emotional and social learning Work from home with flexible hours We have been around a long time - over 2 decades of touring live shows Collaborate with a creative and passionate team Competitive pay and commission structure If you’re ready to help bring exciting theatre to schools, apply today and be part of a unique company that is changing the landscape of educational theatre in Australia!
