About the Role This newly created role is part of a dynamic team in a fully flexible work environment. With a clear focus on achieving outcomes, you'll be supported and empowered to work effectively within the framework provided to meet your targets. In this role, you will focus on uncovering sales opportunities by generating and qualifying leads to support the broader sales team and contribute to building a strong sales pipeline. You will engage with potential clients through various cold outreach methods, with a primary emphasis on cold calling. Your goal will be to identify client needs and introduce our solutions, generating interest and creating valuable opportunities for Compono. Key Responsibilities The key responsibilities include: Market mapping, research and outbound prospecting Conduct high volume sales activities and outbound/cold outreach to identify and qualify potential new business Engage with leads and build rapport to understand their needs and determine their fit with Compono’s ideal customer profile Setting appointments, sales meetings and demos for the sales team to follow up Build and nurture relationships with prospects Maintain accurate records of interactions in CRM and share customer insights with the team. Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly targets for calls and appointments set. While you are not responsible for closing deals, your role is essential in ensuring the sales team has a steady pipeline of qualified leads, improving overall sales efficiency and scalability. Role Benefits and Work Arrangements: This role offers a competitive base salary + Superannuation + a generous uncapped commission structure (which would be discussed in the recruitment process). This role is open to remote applicants located in Australia to complement the working relationships within the existing team. Please note, the role is hybrid for applicants in Brisbane . About You We are looking for an assertive, highly driven, and results-oriented salesperson with a proven ability to uncover new business opportunities. Thriving in a fast-paced startup environment, you bring resilience, determination, and a collaborative mindset. In this role, you will play a vital part in generating opportunities and scheduling appointments to contribute to the success of the wider sales team. This role will suit a sales professional that embraces the concept of ‘being my own CEO’. Your Skills and Experiences 2-5 years experience in high volume sales, preferably B2B Sales and demonstrated ability to drive new business Previous experience in a Sales, Inside Sales, Recruitment or Telemarketing role, with a focus on high-volume cold calling Good understanding of the sales outreach process Previous experience using prospecting and sales outreach tools and channels, including email, cold calling, and social, as well as CRM systems and prospecting data systems. Experience in a role within a fast-growing SaaS environment (Preferred but not essential) Experience with assessing, identifying and qualifying leads with the goal of generating new business Experience with market research, sales prospecting and appointment setting Very strong phone presence with strong listening and comprehension skills Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships effectively and develop strong, long term relationships Adaptability and resilience with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving goals Familiarity with HR, Recruitment or Employee Engagement Software (preferred but not essential) Why join Compono?
