About the Role This role is a high-profile opportunity to take ownership of sales strategy and market expansion for battery energy storage and monitoring systems. The Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and securing high-value contracts across utilities, industrial operators, and energy developers. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sales Leadership Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for BESS and monitoring solutions. Define go-to-market approaches that align with business growth objectives and market demand. Market Expansion Identify and cultivate new opportunities in commercial, industrial, and utility-scale energy markets. Establish relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, government agencies, and independent power producers. Client Relationship Management Build and maintain strong customer relationships to understand evolving energy storage needs. Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering strategic insights and value-driven solutions. Tailored Solutions & Technical Collaboration Work closely with engineering and product teams to design and deliver customised solutions. Ensure alignment with regulatory requirements, market conditions, and customer objectives. Market Intelligence & Competitor Analysis Monitor market trends, regulatory developments, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies. Provide insights to internal teams to shape product development and market positioning. Bid & Contract Management Lead the preparation of commercial proposals, tenders, and contract negotiations. Ensure financial and operational viability of deals while maintaining competitive positioning. Skills & Experience Proven success in sales leadership within the renewable energy, battery storage, or related sectors. Strong understanding of BESS technology, market dynamics, and customer requirements. Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence at C-level. Experience managing long and complex sales cycles in the energy or infrastructure sectors. Strategic thinker with a track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion. Tertiary qualification in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
