This position is located in a tranquil, scenic setting, just 35 minutes south-east of Brisbane CBD. The Role: As Sales Manager (MICE), this crucial role focuses on driving revenue and brand positioning by securing high-end weddings, corporate events, private functions, and conferences. This role requires a mix of strategic sales expertise, relationship management, and event coordination to attract and convert high-value clients. With an overall staff of approximately 170 team members, you will play a crucial role in delivering results for the wider business. More specifically (Full JD is available): Identifying, prospecting, and securing new business from corporate clients, event planners, travel agencies, and tour operators. Developing tailored sales strategies to target different market segments. Conducting proactive outreach, including cold calling, attending networking events, and leveraging industry contacts. Responding to event inquiries, preparing customized proposals, and negotiating contracts to maximize revenue. Conducting site visits and VIP tours to showcase the facilities and create compelling sales pitches. Establishing long-term partnerships with destination management companies (DMCs) and corporate travel agents to attract repeat business. Acting as the main point of contact for MICE clients, understanding their needs, and delivering a seamless event experience. Collaborating with hospitality and operations teams to execute events flawlessly. Working closely with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns promoting the brand as a premier MICE venue both locally and wider Brisbane. Representing the brand at industry trade shows, networking events, and business expos to generate leads. Setting and achieving sales targets for MICE bookings, ensuring revenue growth. Tracking and analyzing event performance, client feedback, and financial outcomes to optimize future sales strategies. Managing budgets for MICE-related activities, ensuring cost-effective event execution. The ideal candidate: The ideal candidate is a proactive, sales-driven professional with a deep understanding of the hospitality, tourism, and corporate events industries. You are a great in selling event spaces and experiences, with a proven ability to secure high-value corporate and private bookings. You thrive on networking, building strong B2B relationships, and closing deals. Your ability to craft compelling event proposals, negotiate contracts, and oversee seamless event execution will be key to success in this role. More specifically: Proven experience (3-5 years) in MICE sales, event sales, or corporate hospitality sales. Strong B2B sales and business development skills, with a track record of closing deals. A well-established network in the corporate, tourism, and events industries. Experience in event planning, contract negotiation, and client management. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage decision-makers and event planners. High-level organizational and problem-solving skills, ensuring smooth event execution. Passion for luxury hospitality, tourism, and premium event experiences. Have a proactive approach to your daily duties and in achieving your set targets/results.
