THE ROLE: This key role integrates technical sales leadership, production planning, and workshop supervision, with a primary focus on maintaining and growing local sales while ensuring the smooth operation of the production floor. By bridging sales and production, the position supports the leadership team in driving business development and aligning production capabilities with customer needs, delivering excellent customer experiences and achieving operational success. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE: Mechanical or Chemical Trade or Tertiary Education. Demonstrated ability to work with customers in promoting our technologies to optimize their productivity gains. 20+ years exposure to advanced manufacturing and industrial sales. SKILLS: Organisational and planning skills. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly and relay feedback effectively. Negotiation and influencing abilities. Strong Teamworking and leadership skills. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in resource planning and supplier management. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales and Customer Engagement: Develop and maintain relationships with key customers. Identify and establish new business opportunities. Prepare technical and commercial tenders, quotes, and proposals. Conduct training and presentations to educate customers on ActionLaser’s offerings. Negotiate contracts and manage pricing strategies to maximize margins. Be part of a team to provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers. Production Planning and Supervision: Plan and oversee production schedules to meet customer order commitments and business KPIs. Ensure availability of resources (materials, human, machinery) for production. Coordinate with sales, technical, and production teams to ensure alignment on order requirements and timelines. Supervise workshop activities, ensuring productivity, safety, and quality standards are met. Leadership and Continuous Improvement: Lead the production team in achieving safety, quality, and productivity targets. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives for workflow and processes. Provide first-line management and troubleshoot operational challenges. Act as a liaison between sales and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met efficiently. Support R&D and maintenance activities as needed. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Travel interstate as required to meet customer and business needs. Maintain accurate and timely reporting on sales and production performance. Act as a point of escalation for production and customer concerns. NOTES: Valid driver’s license required. An enquiring mindset with the ability to challenge existing processes and propose improvements. Ability to work across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr
