My client, a global leader in their field, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to manage the sales team to increase and grow market share. This dynamic role offers the opportunity to drive sales growth and mentor a talented team of three direct reports. About the Role: Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Sales Manager will be responsible for the management and leadership of the Melbourne sales team. This includes developing and implementing strategic business plans, overseeing customer service excellence, and ensuring the achievement of sales and profitability targets. Key Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three direct reports to ensure high performance and a customer-focused culture. Sales Management: Drive business growth by managing key accounts, identifying new opportunities, and delivering tailored value propositions. Oversee sales planning, forecasting, and performance to achieve financial objectives. Customer Engagement: Foster strong relationships with customers and ensure exceptional service delivery to meet and exceed expectations. Operational Oversight: Collaborate with supply chain, project services, and other stakeholders to optimize operations, manage inventory, and enhance efficiency. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare sales forecasts, market analyses, and operational reports, ensuring adherence to company policies and governance standards. About You: To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate: Proven experience in sales management within the power transmission or industrial sector. Strong leadership and people management skills, with a passion for developing talent. Exceptional customer focus and the ability to drive business growth. Strategic thinking with a hands-on approach to problem-solving. Experience in managing budgets, forecasts, and operational processes.
