This is a TO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the TO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the TO3 once specific criteria have been met or demonstrated. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of TO2 to TO3 classification range. About the Role As the School Technical Officer, you will play a vital role in managing the school's information and communication technology (ICT) network services to enhance student learning opportunities. Key Responsibilities : Provide expert advice on ICT operations, including acquisition, installation, maintenance, repair, and replacement. Support the school community with technical guidance and assistance for electronic equipment, adhering to departmental policies and network standards. Assist in delivering in-service training to staff, promoting the effective use of ICT tools to support educational outcomes. Offer prompt and efficient support to staff and students, resolving issues related to computing facilities with a customer-focused approach. Ideal Candidate Attributes : Strong technical expertise in server hardware, configurations, and networking peripherals. Proficiency with PC desktops, laptops, Apple iPads, and printer systems. Team-oriented mindset with excellent collaboration skills. Solid understanding of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN). Experience using remote support tools for managing servers and workstations. Creative problem-solving abilities through research and analysis.
