School Based Administration Assistant Trainee Status: Part-time Fixed Term Contract (18 Months) The Northern Land Council (NLC) is offering an exciting opportunity for a school-based Indigenous trainee to join our Regional Development team in Nhulunbuy. This traineeship is ideal for a motivated student looking to gain practical work experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification. Earn while you learn —our supportive team will provide coaching and mentoring to help you develop valuable skills in administration while contributing to our important work with Aboriginal communities in the NLC region. About the Role As a School-Based Administration Trainee , you will receive training and hands-on experience in providing administrative support to our regional office. You will act as a first point of contact and assist with day-to-day office tasks, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery. This is a paid opportunity to gain professional experience while working towards a Certificate qualification. What You Will Bring: Currently enrolled in high school (Year 10 or above) Strong time management and organisational skills Willingness to learn and develop administrative skills Familiarity with Microsoft Office (desirable) C Class driver’s licence (or willingness to obtain) is an advantage What’s in it for you? We offer: Competitive Salary (Base Salary of $52,759 per annum) plus 14.5% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900 + Meal Entertainment and Holiday Accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year.
