What you will be doing in this role: Join our team as a full-time Scrub Scout Registered Nurse, reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager of our Operating Suite. In this role, you will thrive in a collaborative and supportive environment alongside our highly skilled nursing team. Our extensive perioperative team supports 19 operating theatres, consistently upholding the highest standards in patient-centred care. You will be responsible for preparing the operating room, assisting surgeons during procedures, and maintaining a sterile field to ensure smooth and efficient operations. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to mentor and support junior staff, contributing to their professional development and fostering a positive learning environment. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to work effectively with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the best outcomes for our patients. Who we’re looking for: You’ll have current AHPRA registration as an RN. You’ll have at least 2 years of experience as a scrub/scout in ideally orthopaedic surgeries. You’ll have demonstrated an elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence. You’ll be an exceptional communicator (both verbally and written) with demonstrated experience professionally communicating with patients, their families and colleagues. You’ll have the flexibility to work in a full-time role, Monday – Friday. You’ll be available to participate in the on-call roster as required. You’ll have full Australian working rights.
