About the Role: Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Maths teacher looking for an exciting opportunity? Key duties: Develop and implement a comprehensive math curriculum that aligns with The Victorian Curriculum. Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to effectively convey mathematical concepts and problem-solving strategies. Provide timely feedback to students on their performance and progress in math. Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, including providing additional support or challenges as needed. Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated on best practices in math education, teaching methodologies, and curriculum development. Collaborate with other math teachers and school staff to share resources, ideas, and best practices. Skills & Experience: Unrestricted working rights in Australia. Current VIT registration. Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree- at least 1 year teaching qualification). Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Secondary Maths in Australia- VCE Methods experience essential. Supportive of school ethos and faith. Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable). Offering: Commencing as a full-time position with a flexible start from Term 3, 4 or 2025. Instructing year 7-12 students in Maths Methods/General Maths and or, under the IB Program (training provided for IB stream). Engaging with accessible and transparent leadership. Contributing to the planning and coordination. Salary commensurate with demonstrated expertise and time commitment.
