About the role: An exciting opportunity awaits at a well-respected Islamic school in Melbourne's West, offering VCE Maths Methods for Year 11-12 students. With a flexible start this term, this full-time role is open to both graduates and experienced teachers. Key duties: Teach Mathematical Methods (Units 1-4), covering topics such as functions, calculus, probability, and algebra aligned with the VCE Mathematics Study Design. Integrate technology (e.g., CAS calculators, Desmos, GeoGebra) to enhance student understanding. Prepare students for SACs (School-Assessed Coursework) and VCAA exams, ensuring familiarity with exam formats and expectations. Work closely with the Mathematics department and VCE coordinators to ensure curriculum consistency. Participate in professional learning to stay updated with changes in VCAA requirements and teaching methodologies. Foster a positive and focused learning environment, promoting student engagement and discipline and encourage critical thinking, independent learning, and problem-solving skills. Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessment results, and progress reports and ensure compliance with VCAA regulations and school policies.
