The Treasury Finance team is the primary accounting, reporting and control function for all treasury related activity, with responsibility for the production of reporting for the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO), hedge accounting, trust management and securitisation accounting, funds transfer pricing and treasury related regulatory returns. Both the Treasury and Treasury Finance functions are continuing to mature as the business grows creating an exciting opportunity to lead the trust management and securitisation accounting activities for the bank. This Securitisation Manager role reports directly to the Head of Treasury Finance and will initially have the opportunity to be key in uplifting the bank’s current securitisation reporting and processes, playing a significant role in the establishment of a public Residential Mortgage-Backed Security (RMBS) program including the establishment of a capital efficient warehouse. Key stakeholders include the Treasurer, Head of Market Risk, Head of Treasury Finance, CRO and CFO. We are currently seeking a permanent full-time Securitisation Manager to join the Finance Team. What you will be doing Securitisation Program Project The Securitisation Manager will be the Treasury Finance lead for the successful establishment of a public RMBS program including the establishment of a capital efficient warehouse. Working with Treasury, Market Risk, Lending Operations and the Data Analytics and Insights team to deliver on the below objectives: Conduct a review and GAP analysis of the current processes, controls and reporting including daily cash management process, Trust Management System and Trust Reporting. Identify improvements required to create a robust, scalable and efficient operational framework to support the increased securitisation activity with timely, consistent and accurate reporting for internal and external stakeholders. Implement identified improvements, automate reporting and validate and test changes. Ensure the implementation and related business processes are adequately documented and key spreadsheets meet requirements of the model control policy. Assist merger and acquisition considerations for Trust Management and accounting activities of the bank. Trust Management Responsible for overseeing the daily cash calculations and disbursements of trust collection accounts, monthly waterfalls and distributions. Responsible for monthly accounting processes and reporting for the internal securitisation and warehouse facilities. Ongoing improvements to enhance resilience and accuracy of trust management activities of the bank. Monthly Reporting and Analysis Responsible for the production and oversight of monthly reporting and analysis to external stakeholders including RBA, Rating Agents, investors and trustees. Oversight of monthly internal management reporting including ALCO. Responsible for the financial reporting disclosures related to the Securitisation Trust, working with Treasury and Financial Reporting and Control. Management of ongoing trust responsibilities such as loan document audits. Be the key point of contact for the external reporting and audit teams for securitisation. Trust Creation and Regulatory Reporting Completion of warehouse and term deals including pool cuts, analysis and supporting the creation of trust documentation with consideration to APS120. Responsible for co-ordinating internal and external stakeholders for annual operational and Due Diligence reviews. Deliver annual and at deal APS120 self-assessments for each of the bank’s trusts. Responsible for the ongoing assessment, management and testing of key controls for Securitisation activities to ensure a prudent risk management approach is maintained. Responsible for the review and oversight of Securitisation related APRA forms. Remain up to date with regulatory and compliance developments for Securitisation activities along with assessment of the impact to the bank portfolio. Work with the Business Information team to ensure data quality issues are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Governance & Control Continuously seek to improve governance and controls relating to the accurate recording of treasury transactions and balances. Ensure key processes and controls are documented and regularly reviewed to ensure these are always up-to-date. What you will bring Securitisation trust management and accounting. A knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards with a proven ability for practical application of that knowledge. An existing knowledge of securitisation related prudential standards. Strong systems acumen and Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word & PowerPoint. Strong communications skills, with the ability to explain detailed and technical information in a simple way. Proven track record of process improvement. Ability to document processes, identify risks and implement controls. Studying CFA or Masters in Applied Finance will be highly regarded. Previous experience in Treasury or related functions of an ADI. Previous system implementation or project management experience. Previous experience of using a Treasury Management or Treasury Risk system such as GTreasury or QRM.
